Centre for Academic and Professional Support session on personal branding-Soft Skill Training First Year BA HEP

The Department of International Studies, Political Science and History in collaboration with CAPS organised a session on the topic “Personal Branding” for first year HEP on 02nd September 2021.The session was attended by 90 students and the session was handled by Lynette Nazareth.

The session was extremely informative for the students as it illustrated the value of Personal Branding in today's world. The educator conducted an interactive activity in which she asked the students what makes Starbucks different from a local tea shop. Students participated in this activity in order to gain an understanding of what personal branding is all about. In addition, the four elements that define a brand were discussed, including the Brand Purpose, the Brand Positioning, the Brand Promise, and the Brand Personality. Throughout the discussion, the educator maintained the students' interest by asking them about different brands and how they use taglines for advertising. The session was successful in its conduct as it made the students more aware of Personal Branding and the influence it has on general perceptions.
